WHO ARE WE?

(And where did "Blue Peak Design" come from?)

Hey there, I'm Justin Cameron, the founder of Blue Peak Design. In spring of 2018, I graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor's in Residential Landscape Design and Construction, kickstarting my journey into crafting outdoor spaces.  After graduation, my wife, two kids, and I moved to Omaha, Nebraska to accept a career offer in landscape design. It was the start of a new adventure in our lives. We loved the area, the people and the valuable life lessons that came.  In 2021, we made the decision to move back to Utah, driven by a desire to be closer to our families and to take the next steps in our life's journey

We currently live in Eagle Mountain, Utah, and it’s not hard to discover an adventure from the surrounding landscapes and natural wonders. Whether wandering through diverse hiking trails or immersing ourselves in scenic drives, the natural beauty is truly humbling and inspiring.

The name for the company, "Blue Peak Design", came from simple but deep thoughts.  I have always loved the color blue, and every year, a different shade seems to become my new favorite. I entirely agree with the shared thoughts that colors can invoke different emotions. Some feelings that are associated with the color blue are:

  • Serenity
  • Calming
  • Security
  • Imagination

Mountains are gems that I feel are always inviting us to explore. From walking up small hills or hiking tall peaks they always seem to remind me of the natural beauty around us all. I feel like I can have my mind cleared and be able to turn off common distractions and look for ways to improve my life. I also look to the mountains as an example of dedication and working hard to reach new goals. I feel sometimes the most satisfying views come after the more difficult climbs. Some of the shared feelings of mountains are:

  • Freedom
  • Adventure
  • Awe Inspiring
  • Sacred

By combining these powerful concepts, Blue Peak Design can represent the spirit of innovation and share the journey towards ever-higher goals. This is reflected in our mission statement:
